Kiltwalk 2022

Join us for the Kiltwalk in 2022

The Kiltwalk events across Scotland have returned with a bang, in person in 2022, with hugely successful events in Glasgow and Aberdeen. There are still walks in Dundee and Edinburgh to come, and we’d love you to take part on behalf of Dr Bell’s! Kiltwalk events provide a challenge and a fantastic day out for individuals, families, groups of friends or corporate teams. Join our team now and help us raise vital funds needed to continue our work with children and families living in Leith. Everything you raise will receive an incredible 50% top-up from The Hunter Foundation!

And for anyone who’d like to get involved but doesn’t own a kilt, Kiltwalk sponsor Slanj Kilts are providing FREE kilt hire for all participants. Visit their website and work out which design will look best with a Dr Bell’s t-shirt!

Please see all event options available below. You can either register for your own place and choose to raise money for Dr Bell’s (please remember to select “Dr Bell’s Family Centre” in the registration form) or use one of our FREE charity places by pledging to raise a minimum of £50.

Join our Board

Our ideal Trustee is someone who has knowledge and experience of working with children and families whether in the third/private or public sector. Skills would encompass one or more of the following:

  • Social work
  • Education/Community
  • Strategic Planning

As the needs of our families evolve so does the work of the charity. Funding also evolves as national and local government strategies and priorities are updated. Our sustainability depends on us being able to remain in step and design projects that meet the needs of our users and sponsors. This is critical area of input for the Trustee we seek.

The board meets regularly, currently every 8 weeks. We foresee most meetings being virtual in future, however we would expect to meet face to face at least twice per annum. In addition, most of our Trustees have regular direct contact with the Chief Executive and other staff to provide support and mentoring.
